Queensland provides new National President of AIPM

01-Oct-2008

A Queenslander now heads up the Australian Institute of Project Management, an honour not bestowed Queensland in almost fifteen years.  David Hudson, owner of Primal Solutions, was invested in the new role at the AIPM Annual General Meeting at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday 10th October.

Hudson spoke of the great opportunities ahead of the now 10,000 strong AIPM and the need to embrace government and large corporate companies as part of the growth strategy.  "But we wont forget the individual either!", said Hudson; "our members are the life of AIPM and we will show them a great value proposition in the years ahead".

Special praise was given to outgoing National President, Dr Bill Young.  "Bill, we owe all of the potential in our future to you, you have done the hard work over the last four years to secure a sound footing for a wonderful future!", said Hudson at the international awards night at BCEC.  Hudson lauded Dr Young's leadership and personal integrity as examples to current and future board members of AIPM.

Mr Hudson will hold the role for two years; National Presidents can seek re-election for a second two-year term.  "That is all for the future" says Hudson, lets get the next two years underway and return the trust that our members have placed in the current board.
